CODE OF CONDUCT
Coral Health & Fitness (the “Club” or “We”) maintains and enforces a Code of Conduct (the “Rules”) to make sure that using our facilities and services are as safe and enjoyable an experience as we can make it for all of our members and guests. All members and guests must comply with the Rules at all times. For the avoidance of doubt, these Rules apply to any person entering the Club and using the Club’s facilities and/or services. We reserve the right to terminate any Member’s membership immediately if a Member does not abide by the Rules.
1.1. Members must use their Membership Card (the “Card”) to enter the Club premises. The Card is not transferrable and must be used every time you enter the Club. The Club reserves the right to refuse you entrance if you do not present the Card;
1.2. We require all Members to attend an induction session, particularly if you are a first-time gym user, as you are then more likely to use the Club facilities safely and achieve your goals. Inductions can be booked at the Club’s reception.
2.1. All Guests are also required to attend an induction session or sign the Induction Waiver form. Guests might be required to provide photographic identification upon entrance, and failure to provide this may result in the Guest being denied entry to the Club. 2.2. Guest visits are at the Club’s discretion, and availability may be restricted. The Club reserves the right to change an entry fee for all non-Members wanting to enter the Club premises.
2.3. All Guests agree to abide by these Rules, and failure to do so may result in the Guest being ejected from the Club.
2.4. Guests are able to book studio classes in advance, and may need to pay a fee to attend the class.
3. DRESS CODE
3.1. All Members and any Guests are expected to wear suitable attire at all times while using Club facilities. The Club considers suitable attire to be: a t-shirt or vest; shorts or trousers suitable for training; and closed shoes suitable for training (with exceptions for certain class activities).
3.2. The following is NOT acceptable: a) Open shoes or bare feet, unless partaking in certain classes as above; b) No t-shirt / lack of suitable clothing; and c) Getting changed in any area other than designated changing rooms.
3.3. Inappropriate attire can be offensive or intimidating to other Members and Guests, and as such will not be tolerated. Refusal to comply with the dress code may result in the Member and/or Guest being ejected from the Club’s facilities; continued refusal is a breach of the Rules and as such the Club may terminate the Member’s membership.
4.1. All Members and Guests must conduct themselves in a respectful manner whilst in the Club premises. Any Member and/or Guest who acts in an intimidating, abusive, violent or disrespectful manner may be requested to leave the Club’s premises.
4.2. The Club reserves the right to terminate a Member’s membership with no refund of fees already paid in such instances.
4.3. All Members and Guests must respect and comply with the following rules: a) Refrain from bringing any bags on the gym floor; b) Not take photographs or videos within the Club or on the premises of any Member or Guest or post remarks or imagery on the internet that could identify another Member or Guest; c) Replace equipment back onto the racks after using it; d) Not park a vehicle or bicycle in an unsafe or inappropriate location. The Club does not have parking facilities therefore we are not responsible if you get a parking ticket while using the Club facilities; e) Not enter the Club’s premises whilst intoxicated; f) Not engage in any type of criminal behaviour whilst on the Club’s premises; g) Not cause damage to the Club’s premises or property h) Not cause damage to any other Member or Guests property; i) Not force entry to locked doors; j) Not eat on the gym floor; k) Come and go quietly so as not to disturb the Club’s neighbours. l) Not use, block or interfere with fire, emergency or disabled access doors or alarms (except in a genuine emergency).
4.4. During busy periods, Members and Guests are to use only one station equipment (e.g. weights station) at a time. All weights and equipment should be replaced correctly after use, and equipment and machines should be wiped down after use. Weight equipment should not be dropped or thrown down on the floor (including in any free weights area).
4.5. Any Members and Guests who are unsure of how to use a piece of equipment should seek instruction before doing so. We will not take any responsibility where a Member and/or Guest sustains injury from incorrect use of equipment. If any equipment is found to be faulty or malfunctioning, please report this to Club staff immediately.
4.6. All Members and Guests must comply with any reasonable request of the Club staff in relation to health and safety, and to ensure smooth running of the Club. If any Members or Guests have concerns in relation to health and safety, they must report the issue to the Club’s staff immediately.
4.7. No Member and/or Guest may bring external personal trainers to the Club or act as a personal trainer, paid or otherwise. The Club personal trainers have been confirmed as holding the required certification and insurance, and as such are the only trainers permitted to work in the Club.
5.1. All Members and Guests must exit the premises no later than the Club closing time.
5.2. Alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited from being brought into and/or consumed on the Club premises; any Member and/or Guest under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances may be ejected from the Club. Smoking is prohibited on Club premises at all times.
6.1. Timetables, instructors and classes are subject to change at any time. We endeavour to provide notice when a class is unable to take place for any reason.
6.2. Members are recommended to book in advance to ensure that a class has space for them. Members can book online from 7am the previous day. A Member cannot book onto classes that overlap each other. We request that Members cancel a class booking at least one hour in advance of the class.
6.3. Members and Guests are expected to arrive on time. If a Member and/or Guest arrives late, entry to the class may be denied at the absolute discretion of the class instructor.
7. LOCKERS AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS
7.1. All Members and Guests should use a locker to store their belongings when exercising or using the Club facilities. You should not leave your belongings in a locker when you are not on the premises.
7.2. Any property found left unattended in the Club will be kept for a reasonable period, and then may be donated to charity. 7.3. We take no responsibility for loss, theft or damage for any items brought into the Club, unless the Club is shown to have been negligent. We strongly recommend all Members and Guests to avoid bringing valuable items to the Club where at all possible.
